My Future Self

When going on a trip, even for a short amount of time, I try to clean everything before I go. It is a royal pain in the butt, and I do it anyway. After getting back from whatever the trip was, I stumble in the door, dump the contents of my bag in the laundry, look around, and flop on the couch, relieved I don't have to move anything out of the way. I check messages, maybe take a nap, maybe eat something or go out for food.Even though cleaning when I'm in the midst of the flurry of packing is time consuming and annoying, I consider it a gift to my future self. I'm able to breathe a sigh of relief because I'm not weighed down with things I'd be too tired to be bothered with. There are all kinds of things that need to be done at various times in the day, the week, the month. While it is tempting to put it off, getting things done is a gift to your future self. You may not be able to give yourself a hug in the future, but this may be the next best thing. Is there something you're putting off? Get to work on it, and give your future self some love. No, I did not take a picture yesterday, but I wore my green tank, black skirt, and socks when I wasn't soaking in a hot tub. (which was a present to my present self) Today's outfit was leather Converse, jeans, yellow t, orange pullover.
